Getting Started with cueFlow

cueFlow is a cue management platform for live-events production. It gives you a visual, waveform-based way to build, annotate, and export show cues for lighting, audio, video, pyro, and any other department that runs off a track — with real-time collaboration, timecode I/O, and a direct sync to grandMA3.

What you can actually do today

  • Build cue sheets by placing colour-coded markers directly on a waveform
  • Auto-detect tempo and lay down a beatgrid, then bulk-fill rhythmic cues with Beat Tools
  • Output SMPTE timecode (LTC and/or MTC) during playback, and sync playback from incoming timecode
  • Map a MIDI controller to transport, marker, and navigation commands
  • Collaborate with Editor or Read Only collaborators on a shared project, live
  • Pop out a crew-facing Output Window on a second screen or vision mixer
  • Export to PDF, CSV, and format-specific files for MA3, HOG 4, EOS, Chamsys, Jands Vista, Pharos Designer, Pangolin BEYOND, Adobe/Premiere, and Reaper
  • Live-sync markers to grandMA3 via the cueFlow Connector desktop app
  • Read your data programmatically with a personal API key

Beta access

cueFlow is currently in private beta — there's no public sign-up yet. To get access:

  1. Email contact@basys.au to request an invitation
  2. You'll receive an invite link — open it to land on the signup form with your email pre-filled
  3. Create your account, verify your email, and sign in

Tip: If you were invited by a project owner as a collaborator rather than by the cueFlow team, you'll get a separate email invite tied to that specific project — accept it and you'll land straight in the project once you've signed in.

Your first project, start to finish

  1. From the Dashboard, click the + button to create a new project and give it a name
  2. cueFlow automatically creates three starter marker types for you — Lighting, Sound, and Pyro — so you're not starting from a totally blank sidebar
  3. Open the project, click Add New Track, and upload an audio or video file
  4. Press M on your keyboard (or click a marker-type button in the sidebar) to drop your first marker on the waveform
  5. If your track has a steady tempo, run beat analysis to get a beatgrid, then try Beat Tools to bulk-fill a whole zone of cues in a few clicks
  6. When you're ready to hand cues to a department, open Export and choose a format
